This week we've done some great peer reading. This included listening to each others' stories, asking questions and giving each other feedback.

This week we have been exploring 3D shapes and nets.
We have made a variety of nets from Polydron used them to create 3D shapes. Once we had built our 3D shapes, we looked at their properties: the number of faces, vertices, edges and the 2D shapes that made up the faces of our shape. On Wednesday, the Investigators made some fantastic, Firebird discriptions. Mr DSW read us a book about the Firebird and we got infomation from it. We used similies , metaphors and alliteration. The Y4 challenge was to use a metaphor and the Y5 challenge was to use onomatopoeia. By Phoebe Zachary K-H. On Friday , the Investigators were learning about Stravinsky's song firebird. We were listening very carefully and trying to find out what instruments they were using to make the music . After , we tried to make a rhythm out of the words 'Wake up fro-zen gar-den' . Below you can see us trying to make the rhythm with bell chords . After a while , we all managed to get the rhythm in a flowing way so whenever we were asked to do it we could do it .
