First we searched up on the tablets where cups and rings are found in the UK. After, we looked them up and we dotted them on a map where you can find them. Then, we found a picture that we liked to sketch with fine detail including, texture, shading and patterns. When we were happy with our sketches we started to copy the sketch using charcoal. There were lots of different patterns throughout the classroom! By Cole and Hattie

During culture week, we read 'Elephant Dance: A Journey to India' by Theresa Heine. In this story, the children's Grandfather describes Indian life through metaphors, similes and personification. We researched the landscapes of India and described them in the style of the book.
We also learned about Jaipur's Elephant Festival and created our own decorated elephants in the style of the festival elephants. The Investigators were hooking the reader in by using verbs, adverbs , prepositions and parenthisis to describe our own imaginitive dumps. We got our ideas from the book - Stig of the Dump. Here's my work, Riley Naylor.
