As part of British Science week, we explored renewable and non-renewable energy. We studied different water-wheel designs and developed our own designs in our sketchbooks for water-wheel models. We built the water-wheel models in pairs and tested them out as a class. We tested the efficiency of our water-wheels by counting how many times each one rotated using 250ml of water. We then evaluated our water-wheels and thought of some scientific reasons to explain why some worked more efficiently than others.
