Once again, it's lovely to see some non-screen activities. Emily has been learning about edible plants as part of our Science Learning. She then went for on an edible plant hunt and found a dandelion. Did you try it Emily? In R.E, year 2 were asked to create a star of Ramadan using different coloured wools or string. Emily challenged herself and did 1 with coloured string and 1 with different colouring crayons. Super work Emily. I need to finish mine now and see what you think of mine!

In Literacy, year 2 were asked to create an enchanted woodland school and write a persuasive advertisement poster to persuade children to go to their school. Jack's is amazing and he has used some good persuasive language and included a rhetorical question too! In Maths, year 2 have been learning about symmetry and lines of symmetry in 2D shapes and everday objects. Edward has created a fantastic symmetry picture using Purple Mash. Super work Edward! In Maths, year 2 have been learning about properties of 2D shapes. They were asked to go on a 2D shape hunt around their house and garden then use 2Count on Purple Mash to create a 2D shape pictogram to show the results of their 2D shape hunt. Jasper's is amazing and clearly shows how many of each 2D shape he found. Well done Jasper! In Science, year 2 are learning about plants. Emily correctly labelled all parts of the flower as part of her Science learning. Super work Emily! As part of our Enchanted Woodland topic, year 2 have been learning about Robin Hood. Dexter did a fantastic piece of writing explaining what he would do if he was Robin Hood. I'm sure you will agree with me in saying that Dexter would make a fantastic Robin Hood!
I was over the moon to receive this fantastic photograph today of the incredible Year 2 children who have made individual signs which have been collated together to make a special message. I was overwhelmed with emotions after reading this message and cannot express how much I am missing you all. You are all looking healthy, fit and happy, which is the main thing in this current situation. A massive thank you, not only to the children, but the parents and carers of the children for taking the time out to create this special and meaningful message. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it means so much to me!
Take care. Mrs Womble xx Hi Inventors,

Week beginning 27.4.20 Letter to parents about phonics online 25 non-screen activities from Pobble How to write a persuasive argument Remember to email any photographs of your learning to: [email protected] Missing you all. Mrs Womble Bella has been very busy with her literacy project this week and she has created an amazing woodland secret garden school for fairies and woodland creatures to go. I really wish I was a fairy so I could go there. Super work Bella, you have worked so hard on this. Super proud!
I decided to challenge myself and have finally, after several weeks, finished my 1,000 piece jigsaw. It was very challenging but it kept my mind active and I was very pleased when I put that final piece in! I wonder what I could do next? Any suggestions?
Well done to Willow who has been busy making an ant farm as part of our animals and their habitat Science learning. Willow made it with a little help from her dad and I think it's amazing! I love the attention to detail that Willow has done and I love that this project is going to help the ants too! Super learning Willow. The Inventors and Mrs Womble are proud of you!
