This week, the Inventors have been learning about the pop artist, Andy Warhol. They have been inspired by his pop art to create amazing pieces of artwork. Have a look for yourself!
The children have been editing a diary entry based on Percy the park keeper's story One Snowy Night. Once they have edited the diary with their own expanded noun phrases to describe characters, emotions and settings, they had to write it up! Here is a look at some of the amazing writing that the children have done!
Please find attached the weekly overview plan for week 4 for remote learning. As always, the worksheets and video links will be attached daily on Class Story via Class Dojo. You can also find this planning on the Marsh Lane website via the link Remote Learning and then click on Inventors tab.
This week in Maths, the Inventors have been re-capping dividing using sharing and grouping. They have even answered some worded problems too. Just look at the amazing written methods that the children have done! Artist of the week this week for the Inventors is Vincent Van Gogh. The children looked at a PowerPoint about him and discussed some of his artwork. They then had a go at re-creating his Starry Night picture. We even had Mrs Kirk joining in too! Please find attached below the planning overview for week 3 for remote learning. I will put the document onto the class story via Class Dojo and I will continue to put on the daily overview and activities onto Class Dojo, like last week. This planning overview can also be found on the Marsh Lane Primary School website. Mrs Womble
Our current topic is Ice Explorers and today it snowed!! The children have been having great fun exploring the snow and ice like a real ice explorer. They even had fun building snowman, snow cats and sledging! In Art this half-term, the Inventors will be learning about different artists, both from the past and the present. This week, it was all about Picasso and his cubism style of art. The children had a go at creating Picasso's Weeping Woman artwork and I think they looks amazing! |
