Miss Marsland
Hello everyone! I hope you are all really well. It has been lovely to be back in school - although a little different! I am missing all the children at home lots and lots and I hope you are all doing well and enjoying home schooling. It can be a real struggle to stay focused especially with the lovely weather we have been having but keep working hard and trying your best! I have attached this week's planning and resources. If I can help in any way at all please let me know. I have also included a few activities for Friday when all children are at home. Please don't hesitate to get in touch. Miss Marsland xx

Hello Y1 parents! I have attached below a letter explaining more about planning for next week onwards. I have also included some new links to different websites you may find useful for home schooling. I hope this is helpful! Please feel free to get in touch with any questions. Thank you, Miss Marsland
I can't wait to welcome the Sheriff bubble back to school on Wednesday. In order to communicate with you, I have set up my own Class Dojo. I would like to post photographs on there and keep you up-to-date with your child's learning and other activities that they have done. In order to do this, I need your email addresses to send you an invite to the Class Dojo. You can do this by emailing the enquiries@ marshlane.derbyshire.sch.uk link on the website and put it for the attention of Mrs Womble and Mrs Yorke will kindly forward on to me.
Look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday. Mrs Womble Hello Year 1! It is Father's Day on Sunday 21st June! You might already have big plans for your Dad, Grandad or another special adult in your life but if you're stuck for ideas I have attached some different activities below. You could write a poem, create a card or colour a picture! Miss M xx
Hello Year 1! I have attached planning below for next week. Some of you will be in school Wednesday & Thursday but there is planning for everyday for any children still working from home. I will continue to upload planning each week but it may be in a slightly different format due to school reopening. Any questions - please get in touch! Missing you all lots and so excited to see some of you soon! Miss M xx
Hello Year 1 and parents! I hope you are all really well. You should have received a text message with a link to the latest letter on returning to school. There are two different letters depending on which group/ teacher you are with (the text should take you to the correct letter/ make you aware of which group). Any confusion please let me know. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch. I know this is all very new and might be confusing so I will make sure I check on both 2Email, comments below and also the enquires email and get back to you ASAP. For those children not returning I will continue to upload planning but it may be in a slightly different format. I will also still be checking on here and 2Email if you need to get in touch or have any questions. I have attached some photos below to give children an idea of what school might look like to help ease the transition. Wednesday and Thursday next week will primarily be settling back into school, talking about new routines and how to stay safe as well as doing different mindfulness activities. I can't wait to see you all again and give you a big wave!! I know that Mrs Womble, Mrs Woods and Mrs Holland are looking forward to being part of team Navigators as well! Miss Marsland xx Hello Year 1!
I hope you've had a lovely weekend and I hope you are all safe and well. The school library has had a bit of a makeover and now even includes our Elmer the Elephant collage (photos below). To make the library even more exciting we would love for you to get caught reading! All you have to do is take a photo of yourself reading a book - this can be your favourite book and anywhere you like to read even somewhere adventurous! You can send them to me via Purple Mash or through the school's email. Any questions please feel free to ask me. I look forward to seeing your photos! Have fun, Miss M x The local libraries are running the annual Summer Reading Challenge virtual this year. It is called Silly Squad and is themed around animals!
It started on Friday 5th June and will run until the last week of the Summer holidays (so the end of August.) This will give you plenty of time to join in with the reading challenge because you only have to read 6 books to achieve it! For more information click on the link below: https://summerreadingchallenge.org.uk/news/general/silly-squad-coming-soon I hope that lots of you can join in and we can celebrate together in September. Miss Marsland x
Here is an enchanted woodland map by James! With the help of his mum, he wrote fantastic instructions for how to navigate through the forest. Fantastic work James well done!
